| Joe Nolan |
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Joe worked as a sportswriter, covering the NBA, NFL and MLB for the Oakland Tribune. Tired of a stagnant environment where seniority ruled and career growth was in others' hands, Joe changed careers in August of 2004. After working for an outsourced marketing firm in San Francisco for a year, Joe opened Competitive Consulting in Austin in September of 2005. Joe implemented two key policies, only promoting from within and no seniority, which allowed the company to land great people. Behind such ambitious leaders, the company has grown in a year and a half from 5 to 35 people and into Chicago, Hartford, Conn., and has expected growth into 5 new markets by year's end. |

| Jorge Valdespino |
Moving to the US in 1988 from Mexico, Jorge had to adapt to a new culture and learn a new language. Jorge grew up in the Bay Area in California and graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in international business. Taking advantage of his tri-lingual status and the love of traveling, Jorge decided to fulfill his study abroad requirements by spending a semester in France. After college and with a ten year customer service background in the restaurant industry, Jorge began working in sales and marketing, and 6 months later Jorge decided to accompany Joe Nolan to Austin to start Competitive Consulting. He is currently the Vice President of Sales. Jorge’s goal is to run a business in France or Spain for five to ten years. |
